Unicorns and purple dragons...
Everyone was in bed just about ready to dose off and Emma starts crying, Adam goes in the girls room, and this is the conversation I here.
Adam: Emma why are you crying?
Emma: I want a castle and some toys
Adam: Well I want a unicorn, a purple dragon blowing bubble gum and to live in America without paying taxes but we can't always have everything we want.
Hahaha, I love my husband his child raising skills makes me laugh. The funny thing is it actually works. She fell fast asleep
living in America without having to pay taxes (hey can't we dream),

10 reasons why mothers love having children
I read this in the book "Be Fruitful and Multiply" by Nancy Campbell (it's actually called 101 reasons why mothers live having children but I only put the top 10) and wanted to post it here for encouragement to those with big families or soon to be big families.
1. We love receiving gifts and blessings from God.
2. Why would I ever want to turn down one if God's blessings.
3. We not only want to receive Gifts from God for ourselves, but we want to give more gifts to the world. Every child God gives us is a gift
To the world.
4. It is so exciting to see whom God will send to bless us each time.
5. I am honored for the Lord to use my womb again.
6. I love being "with child."
7. I love to see what God thinks of next. I believe each child is a precious and unique thought, with vast possibilities, straight from our
Heavenly Father. It is the most exciting thing in my life to give birth and see the new little person. There is nothing that moves me as
Much as seeing the birth of a baby.
8. I love to behold the handiwork of the Lord as a new little miracle comes forth.
9. The birth of a baby is the ultimate fulfillment of love between a husband and wife. Each child is an unbreakable bond between a father
And mother.
10. It is amazing to think that each child is a part of my beloved husband and me.

Prayer
As a mother of 10 I really need to make it a priority to get up in the morning and spend time with the Lord. I'm not naturally a patient women in fact I have struggled with being "high strung" all my life so when I became a mom it was not natural for me to show patience. I want to become the woman God designed me for and I know its to have a meek and quiet spirit, so how do I strive for that? By diving into the word and seeking the one who made me. He knows me inside and out! So having alone time with him is going to help me to stay focused on what really matters and not what the world says matters.
Philippians 4:6 says, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." I need this prayer time. I need peace in my heart, especially tonight when I look around and see all the things I did not accomplish today, but through prayer my eyes are opened and I see the things I did that mattered. Like teaching my 5 year old her vowels sound and finger painting apples on an apple tree, then hearing her say "I love dipping my fingers in the paint mommy."
"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." (Psalm 5:3). Do you? Do I? or do we only take time to shoot up flare request during each crisis that occurs during the day. How can I keep a record of God's answers to prayers in my life if i don't have a consistent time that I devote to the Lord.
Undisturbed time for prayer is the basis of my heart and mind being kept through Christ Jesus- truly a meek and quiet spirit!

Conception and childbirth

I've had a strong desire to know what God says about these things so I've been on a pursuit to find out. I'm especially interested in God being in control of our wombs. Does He open and close the womb? Does He create life or is it just by chance? and Does God determine when your child is to be born? Not us? I'm curious about these things.
God commanded fruitfulness in Genesis before the fall. "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it" (Gen. 1:28). We know that children are from the Lord. They are His reward, His heritage, and He is the One who opens and closes the womb. In Gen.29:31, Gen. 30:22 and 1 Samuel 1:6 all talk of how God opened and closed the womb. There is no question that the bible teaches that God is in charge of conception.
When I was pregnant with Emma I was so worried that I would have her when Adam would be at work, thousands of miles away. I was so scared of delivering her by myself that on his days off I drank a whole bottle of Castro oil to get labor going. It worked but only after my midwife stripped my membranes. The bible says "Why then have you brought me out of the womb" (Job 10:18) and "You are He who took me out of the womb" (Psalm 71:6). It is the Lord who not only opens the womb, but He brings forth children from the womb. Wow, I can't play God when it comes to planning conception or delivery. It is all of God's doing. I must be humble when I consider what He ordains to do in and through my body. I must look to God for His sustaining grace through all aspects of this wonderful and awesome experience.
I want to learn to think biblically about every area of life, but particularly in this one that is so connected with who I am as a woman.

Motherhood

I've been doing a lot of studying on being a Mother and what Gods calling is to us as mothers and I've been truly inspired to love my children with a passion that I've lost in the mist of busyness. I'm going to share what I've learned.
We are to be fruitful. While evangelism brings more worshipers into the church, childbearing brings more disciples into the home. I love this saying and it got me thinking that I want to be fruitful, fruitful like the vine in psalm 128:3, "Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine, within your house, Your children like olive plants around your table."
There are a lot of people with each child I have asking me if we are done yet. First I would like to say that I find this question intrusive but if you have to know, no we are not done until the Lord say we are done. Children these days are seen as a hindrance, an intrusion, an interruption,or a burden. Fruit is not seen in such a way. Planting a garden is hard work but it is good work. Raising Godly children is the same. I want to see that the way I view my children is shaped by scriptures and not by the world. Hard work when it is good work, is soul-satisfying and soul-prospering.
No matter how many children God blesses me with I want to rejoice in everyone and be fruitful in bringing them up. The church becomes barren when disobedient. Women today embrace barrenness as freedom. I once was a woman who couldn't wait to have "this baby" so I can be free. I hope that the Lord will give me another chance to grow in meekness by rejoicing in my pregnancies instead of complaining.

Update
The lab made a mistake, UGH! But happy that everything is all right with my baby girl. Thanks everyone for your prayers!
Prayer
I'm asking for a quick prayer request for our sweet little baby Emma. I found out this morning that my lab work from my midwife came back showing that I am producing antibodies due to me being RH- and Adam being Rh+. They don't know why I'm producing antibodies since I have received my Rhogam shots on time and I haven't had any accidents that would cause bleeding. I had to go get more lab work done and I'm praying that they will say it was a mistake and I have no antibodies but if I do, Baby Emma will have to be closely watched for my body is attacking her like she is a foreign object and she can become severly anemic. This could be life threatening for her and could effect my possibilities of more children.
I will keep posting the more I found out, Please keep praying!!!

Its a .......
Girl! We found out this afternoon that we are going to be blessed with another baby girl. How I love them don't get me wrong I love boys too but there is something fun about having a girl, maybe it's the cute little pink outfit, bows and tiny shoes. Or the time you spend when they get older doing their hair and taking them shopping with you. I dont know but I feel so blessed and loved right now with adam at my side. How blessed i am to have the family that I do we are definitly not a perfect family but I love it all the same. God is so amazing he is showing me in so many ways that he loves me and wants to give me the desire of my heart. Thank you God! There's healing in pain and meaning in your name.
